Today we are going to check the admission guidelines for Electrical Engineering of KAIST.

KAIST is a short form of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

 

 

KAIST has two campuses. Daejeon and Seoul. The major we are going to check today is located in Daejeon.

All students are porvided with dormitories on campus and each room is shared by one or students.

 

Programs of Electrical Engineering: Circuits and System, Nano Devices and Integrated System, Electromagnetics and Photonics, Communications, Computing, Networking, Security, and Signals and Systems

[Eligibility]

 

  • Degree: Applicants must hold or expect to hold a Bachelor’s degree for Master or MasterPh.D. Integrated program application or Master’s degree for a Doctoral program application
  • Citizenship: Applicants must hold citizenship outside Korea
  • English Language Proficiency: All the applicants for International Admission must provide at least one of the following English proficiency test (EPT) scores

[Scholarship]

 

KAIST scholarship generally supports full tuition and fees.

 

In addition, a monthly stipend of KRW 350,000 (for Master’s candidates) or KRW 400,000 (for Doctoral candidates) and Medical Health Insurance premium will be supported by the recipient’s advisors or programs.

[Fee]

 

  • Tuition Fee: 4,800,000 KRW per semester
  • Non-tuition average expenses: 5,350,000 KRW / 6 months

1.     Dormitory: 700,000 KRW / 6 months

2.     Food: 3,500,000 KRW / 6 months

3.     Transportation: 100,000 KRW / 6 months

4.     Books and Supplies: 150,000 KRW / 6 months

5.     Medical Health Insurance: 900,000 KRW / 6 months
