[Dankook Univ.] Department of Music for International Students

Today we’ll check the admission guidelines for the department of Music in Dankook University.

 

 

 

The majors are: Vocal Music, Piano, Instrumental Music, Music Composition, Choral Conducting

 

 

There are two campuses for Dankook University. One is in Jukjeon(Gyeongi) and the other is in Cheonan(Chungcheongnam-do).

The department of music is in Jukjeon Campus.

※     Only for the applicants who enroled in DKU Global Education Center and don’t have TOPIK Level 3 or higher

For the applicants who are applying for the college of Music, there is extra audition or portfolio.

So the percentage of grade reflection will be:

for both Master and Ph.D program.

 

 

 

 

[Requirements]

 

1. Korean

• TOPIK: Level 3 or higher
• Applicants who graduated from a domestic university or majored in the department of Korean Language at foreign university
• Applicants without TOPIK schore but who have passed the Graduate Korean Language Test conducted

 

2. English

• TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600 (New TEOS 326), TOEIC 750

※     Applicants who do not submit their grades in English Proficiency Test must submit the certificate of graduation from Apostille from elementary, middle and high school (or university)

 

 

 

 

[Scholarships]

 

Foreign Scholarships

 

1. Fluent Korean speaker

• Those who are with TOPIK Level 3 or those who passed the Graduate Korean Language Test or graduated from a domestic university or majored in the department of Korean Language at foreign university : 30% of tuition fee will be waived for the first & the second
• TOPIK 4: 40% of tuition fee will be waived
• TOPIK 5 or 6: 50% of tuition fee will be waived
• Dankook graduates: additional 10% fee will be waived

 

2. English-Proficiency Test grade holder OR the one who completed elementary and secondary education OR BA degree holder from an English-speaking country

• 50% of tuition fee will be waived for the first & second semester
• For the third and the fourth semester: scholarship will be provided according to the TOPIK score mentioned above

 

 

 

 

[Tuition Fee]

 

• Application Fee: 100,000 KRW

※     130,000 KRW for those who are applying for Graduate Korean Language Test

• Admission Fee: 980,000 KRW
• Tuition Fee: 7,895,000 KRW
